Chiara Herzog

King's College London

Dr. Chiara Herzog is a King's Prize Fellow (Junior Group leader) at King's College London, establishing her research programme at the Department for Twin Research and Genetic Epidemiology. She also holds positions at the European Translational Oncology Prevention and Screening Institute (EUTOPS; Universität Innsbruck) and at the Institute for Women’s Health (University College London; honorary research fellow). She completed her undegraduate in Molecular Medicine at Innsbruck Medical University, and her MSc and PhD in Neuroscience at Edinburgh University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of computational biology, clinical resarch, and molecular biology, focusing on the association of epigenetics (DNA methylation) with cellular ageing and disease risk. She also serves on the Biomarkers of Ageing Executive Committee to accelerate translation of these biomarkers into clinically useful tools.
