Adam Gordon

Queen Mary University, London

Adam Gordon trained in Edinburgh, Dundee and Sydney before eventually settling in Nottingham where he became Professor of Care of Older People in 2018. In 2024 he moved to help establish the new Academic Centre for Healthy Ageing, a collaborative venture between Queen Mary University of London and Barts Health NHS Trust to establish an embedded research centre focussed on ageing and care of older people, serving the diverse communities of North East London. Most of his research has been in the field of care home medicine and he has published extensively in this field. He is an NIHR Senior Investigator. He was President of the British Geriatrics Society between 2022 and 2024 and was awarded an MBE for services to care of older people in 2024.
